Principal Network Architect - Europe

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead the creation of advanced network architectures within a team of technical leads
• ▹Proactively evaluate new networking technologies
• ▹Develop technical standards, policies and procedures for network infrastructure
• ▹Manage cloud network resources, application flows and security elements as code, integrated into the CI/CD pipeline
• ▹Automate workloads using Azure and AWS command line tools
• ▹Apply a risk-based approach to security policies to ensure GDPR and InfoSec compliance
• ▹Collaborate with the security team to implement best practices for cloud network security
• ▹Engage in Agile Scrum standups with platform and development teams
• ▹Implement monitoring solutions across multiple clouds using open-source dashboarding tools like Grafana
• ▹Act as primary interface to third-party network and security vendors

Requirements

• ▹Experience or certification in Azure Web Application Firewall, Checkpoint Next Generation Firewall, or NGINX/F5 API Management & App Protect WAF
• ▹Experience with IT governance standards and compliance frameworks such as ITIL, PCI and SOC
• ▹Extensive experience architecting networks for microservice API environments
• ▹Scripting skills in Python, Ansible, Azure DevOps or Terraform
• ▹Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Bitbucket and Confluence
• ▹Linux shell scripting proficiency
• ▹Experience working with git repositories
• ▹Load balancer design and SSL termination experience

Nice to have

• ▹Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, CISSP or equivalent
• ▹Advanced layer 4-7 traffic management knowledge
