Responsibilities

• ▹Lead multi-quarter technical initiatives from problem framing through rollout (e.g., trace aggregation APIs, autoscaling cells, query engine improvements)
• ▹Own architecture decisions for Tempo
• ▹Help make Grafana Cloud Traces work reliably for customers by eliminating rough edges and hidden failure modes
• ▹Achieve operational excellence at scale, growing from about 50 cells to triple digits with autoscaling and toil reduction
• ▹Evolve Tempo into a platform enabler with higher-density APIs, trace aggregation, and TraceQL metrics math
• ▹Push query performance further at hundreds of MB/s ingestion
• ▹Prepare Tempo for agent-driven, AI-powered workflows and assistant-driven triage
