Lead Engineer - AI Agents

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead the AI Ops Agents team from day one - owning delivery, growing the function, proving the value
• ▹Work daily with Claude, Claude Code, MCP and LangChain to build production-grade agents and automations
• ▹Lead three AI Ops Engineers - own their delivery, development and day-to-day work
• ▹Prioritise efficiently across competing requests from multiple teams using a shared prioritisation framework
• ▹Design and ship multi-agent systems and production-grade automations that measurably improve how internal teams and customer-facing staff work
• ▹Build RAG pipelines for internal knowledge retrieval
• ▹Keep the AI tooling stack healthy as usage scales across 2,500+ employees
• ▹Stay current on emerging AI tools and technologies - know what's hype and what's actually useful
• ▹Help refine AI training for the wider organisation, including software engineering teams

Requirements

• ▹Experience leading an engineering team
• ▹Hands-on experience with Claude, Claude Code, LangChain, LangGraph, MCP and multi-agent orchestration (or similar, e.g. Google ADK)
• ▹Experience building production-grade automations and agents
• ▹Experience building RAG pipelines
• ▹Able to prioritise across multiple stakeholders with competing requests

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with enterprise tooling integrations (identity automation with Entra, Notion, HiBob)
• ▹Experience in fintech or financial inclusion
