Senior Backend Developer (Kotlin)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop, evolve, and maintain backend services using Kotlin, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security for mission-critical core banking systems
• ▹Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS (EKS/Fargate, SQS, DynamoDB), applying the Well-Architected Framework
• ▹Implement messaging and streaming integrations with Kafka and SQS
• ▹Develop and automate unit, integration, and performance tests, building robust CI/CD pipelines
• ▹Build, maintain, and evolve Docker containers with Kubernetes (EKS) orchestration
• ▹Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions
• ▹Apply security-by-default practices (IAM least privilege, encryption at rest/in transit, secure secrets management)
• ▹Explore and validate the use of AI tools to support development
• ▹Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (product, QA, SRE, security)

Requirements

• ▹Solid experience in backend development with Kotlin
• ▹Real-world experience in AWS environments, especially EKS/Fargate, SQS, DynamoDB
• ▹Practical knowledge of the AWS Well-Architected Framework
• ▹Messaging & streaming: Kafka and SQS
• ▹Experience with unit, integration, and performance testing
• ▹Containers: Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) orchestration
