Responsibilities

• ▹Developing and maintaining DataDome's JavaScript Tag, focusing on performance, resilience, security and privacy
• ▹Building and improving server-side integration modules for JavaScript-based edge platforms: AWS Lambda@Edge, Cloudflare Workers, Fastly Compute, Node.js
• ▹Owning backend integration modules in other languages: Python, Go, Java, Ruby
• ▹Driving technical direction and mentoring other engineers
• ▹Improving CI/CD pipelines, testing, performance and security
• ▹Providing technical expertise to Support and Solutions Engineering teams
• ▹Monitoring trends in web technologies and edge computing
• ▹Managing incidents and post-incident reviews

Requirements

• ▹At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience
• ▹Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and familiarity with modern web standards
• ▹Solid working proficiency in at least one other backend language: Python, Go, Java, Ruby
• ▹Understanding of web protocols and standards: HTTP, TCP, cookies, DNS, TLS
• ▹Ability to assess trade-offs across integration approaches
• ▹Experience mentoring engineers or driving technical decisions
• ▹Experience with CI/CD tools
• ▹Fluent English

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with edge computing platforms: Cloudflare Workers, AWS Lambda@Edge, Fastly Compute, Deno Deploy, Vercel Edge Functions
• ▹Experience with CDNs, load balancers or web servers
• ▹Experience with cloud providers: AWS, GCP
• ▹Understanding of how browsers and JavaScript engines work internally
