Canonical is hiring an Embedded Linux Field Engineer to support customers in automotive, medical devices, industrial systems, robotics, and telco in deploying Ubuntu Core and related IoT solutions.
Responsibilities
- ▹Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and present the technology
- ▹Develop solutions for prospective clients
- ▹Participate in delivering embedded Linux projects
- ▹Convey market requirements to internal stakeholders
- ▹Act as a customer advocate and trusted advisor
Requirements
- ▹Deep Linux knowledge (boot, BIOS, EFI, Secure Boot, firmware)
- ▹Experience with OS distribution packaging
- ▹Familiarity with embedded software development methodologies
- ▹Coding and scripting skills
Nice to have
- ▹Experience with C, C++, Go, Python, Rust
- ▹Yocto experience
- ▹Customer-facing/presentation experience
