Principal Developer Advocate

Responsibilities

• ▹Build an advocacy strategy fit for the new context of generative AI and online developer communities
• ▹Foster and participate in direct, public conversations about AI security
• ▹Publish authoritative content
• ▹Prioritize high-impact channels that drive product awareness, adoption, and feedback at scale
• ▹Represent 1Password Developer Relations at major developer conferences (e.g. AWS re:Invent, KubeCon)
• ▹Leverage in-person interactions for longer-term impact

Requirements

• ▹10+ years in technical roles (software or platform engineering, developer advocacy, solution engineering, or other fields)
• ▹Deep familiarity with modern development workflows and patterns
• ▹5+ years engaging with developers in visible, public-facing roles, advocating for their needs cross-functionally
• ▹Experience navigating sensitive and complex community situations with humility, empathy, judgment, and tact
• ▹Experience collaborating with partners on technical and product marketing integrations
• ▹Exceptional written and verbal communication across multiple formats (conference talks, blog posts, tutorials)
