Responsibilities

• ▹Propose and develop high-impact data science projects in close collaboration with data, engineering, product and business teams.
• ▹Design, train and validate statistical and machine learning models and help deploy them into production.
• ▹Take part in defining and analyzing real-life experiments using academy-standard scientific methods to demonstrate the impact of new product features.
• ▹Turn the team's work into tangible business insights that create value for the company.
• ▹Participate in research and innovation, bringing new ideas and expanding the team's technical and scientific knowledge.
• ▹Communicate complex ideas clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
• ▹Actively participate in product development conversations, proposing features and providing the data science perspective.
• ▹Act as a technical reference within the team, fostering growth and promoting best practices.

Requirements

• ▹At least 5 years of professional experience as a data scientist or in an equivalent research role.
• ▹Strong educational background, e.g. a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or similar.
• ▹Experience leading the design, training and validation of statistical and machine learning models.
• ▹Strong knowledge of Python for data analysis and data visualization libraries.
• ▹Experience with data extraction and processing.
• ▹Ability to write complex SQL code.
• ▹Experience bringing machine learning into production, including deployment, training, testing, model degradation and model serving.
• ▹Ability to work autonomously in an unstructured environment.

Nice to have

• ▹Strong background in Probability & Statistics.
• ▹Experience with the various aspects of scientific experimentation (experiment design, population sampling, testing methodology, statistical significance analysis).
• ▹Experience publishing in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
• ▹Experience with state-of-the-art methods such as deep learning, time series analysis, Bayesian statistics and causal inference.
• ▹Experience with geo data modeling, analysis and visualization.
