Senior Python Engineer, Integration

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Take full ownership of backend features and improvements, from design through implementation, deployment, and production support
• ▹Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Python and Django
• ▹Build and maintain integrations with external systems, including KYC, geolocation, and payment partners, and other third-party services
• ▹Work closely with product and engineering teams to scope and deliver new integrations
• ▹Implement observability across integration flows, including monitoring, logging, and alerting
• ▹Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability and prevent regressions
• ▹Support production issues and participate in on-call rotations

Requirements

• ▹At least 5+ years of development experience, with Python as the primary language and strong experience in API and system integrations
• ▹Proven experience integrating third-party APIs, with deep understanding of webhooks, callbacks, idempotency, and failure handling
• ▹Experience with observability tools to monitor and troubleshoot production integrations
• ▹Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures and concurrency
• ▹Experience in architecture design of highly loaded and scalable solutions
• ▹Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and production monitoring
• ▹Willingness to participate in on-call rotations

Nice to have

• ▹Experience in early-stage startups and fast-paced engineering environments
• ▹Experience writing automated tests, measuring test coverage, and defining test automation strategies
• ▹Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Grafana
• ▹Experience in sports/betting industries
• ▹Payments and KYC integration experience
