Responsibilities

• ▹Install, configure and maintain complex IT systems, networks and software
• ▹Ensure functionality through timely measures such as updates, backups and technical support
• ▹Administer servers and applications in line with security rules, including access permissions
• ▹Analyze and resolve hardware and software faults
• ▹Protect systems against attacks by developing security policies
• ▹Assess needs and advise on the selection and procurement of hardware and software
• ▹Instruct and train users
• ▹Other IT tasks as they arise

Requirements

• ▹Vocational qualification as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or comparable qualification
• ▹Very good knowledge of server/client virtualization, NAS/SAN infrastructure, TCP/IP, routing, virtual networks, VPN and firewall systems
• ▹Good knowledge of the Windows Server product family, Linux, MS SQL Server 2016-2019, MySQL, MariaDB, MS Exchange and MECM, plus Windows/Linux/database scripting
• ▹Confident with Windows servers and client operating systems
• ▹Ability to get up to speed quickly on an existing project
• ▹Good German and English, spoken and written
• ▹Independent, solution-oriented and structured way of working

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of Linux
• ▹Experience in user help desk / support
