Senior Analytics Engineer (all genders)

Responsibilities

• ▹Conceptualize, develop, and take ownership of analytical data models on modern data warehouses and data lakehouses, ensuring their quality, performance, and ongoing development
• ▹Develop robust data transformation processes with dbt and establish best practices for testing, documentation, versioning, and deployment
• ▹Design scalable analytical data models based on established modeling approaches such as Kimball, Snowflake Schema, or Data Vault 2.0, integrating diverse data sources into a consistent analytics landscape
• ▹Establish and take ownership of concepts for data quality, data testing, data lineage, and data governance, supporting the build-out of modern analytics standards
• ▹Optimize data models and query performance on modern cloud data platforms, using current lakehouse technologies and table formats such as Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg
• ▹Work closely with business departments, data analysts, data scientists, and data engineers
• ▹Take technical responsibility for work packages or sub-projects and steer their successful delivery
• ▹Advise clients as an equal partner, moderate workshops, and present technical solutions clearly to different audiences

Requirements

• ▹Several years of practical experience in analytics engineering and data modeling on modern cloud data platforms
• ▹Ability to translate business requirements into sustainable analytical data models that deliver real value to clients
• ▹Solid experience with dbt (dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud), having successfully designed, implemented, and further developed analytics engineering solutions across multiple client projects
• ▹Confident command of dimensional data modeling (Kimball Star Schema, Snowflake Schema), with solid experience designing and implementing modern ELT/transformation architectures
• ▹Excellent SQL skills, using Python where needed
