Senior Fullstack Software Engineer role in Algolia's Growth org, which helps Algolia grow by working on product changes, introducing new features, and providing the best possible user experience. You will shape the customer onboarding experience, help create a new Growth platform, mentor software engineers, and introduce best practices. The team follows a bottom-up approach, where teams set their own metric-driven initiatives. Recent projects include new data integrations with developer platforms, marketplace and billing integrations, internal platforms (notifications, experimentation, feature flagging), and AI-based data processing platforms.

Responsibilities

  • ▹Come up with innovative solutions to help users get the most out of Algolia
  • ▹Execute experiments and A/B tests to choose the best possible solution
  • ▹Collaborate with Product and Design teams to identify and ideate on opportunities
  • ▹Mentor other software engineers and help them grow
  • ▹Design and develop a scalable growth platform
  • ▹Work with a wide range of teams to deliver a solid growth foundation
  • ▹Improve engineering quality, processes, and tooling
  • ▹Help define the team roadmap

Requirements

  • ▹Passion for delivering the best UX to diverse sets of users across industries (engineers, marketers, merchandisers, etc.)
  • ▹Mindset to take data-driven decisions and analyze the impact of changes introduced
  • ▹Experience with event-driven infrastructure in GCP or AWS
  • ▹Experience with a server-side typed or untyped language (the team uses Ruby and plans to integrate more Golang, so willingness to learn is important)
  • ▹Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML/CSS (the role is fullstack, engineers are expected to ship across the stack)

Nice to have

  • ▹Experience working in a scale-up or Growth team
  • ▹Experience with analytics platforms like Amplitude, Hex

What we offer

  • ▹Base salary pay range $163,100 - $215,000 USD
  • ▹Flexible workplace model with remote work options within the specified country
