Senior Test Tooling Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Drive and evolve CI/CD infrastructure for TimescaleDB, Toolkit, Data Tiering and Tiger Lake using GitHub Actions
• ▹Own the end-to-end release process, focusing on automating and simplifying releases
• ▹Lead the packaging process, collaborating with the platform team
• ▹Design and implement stress testing infrastructure from the ground up
• ▹Execute stress tests, analyze results and feed regression signals back to engineering partners
• ▹Build and maintain testing infrastructure to validate TimescaleDB's performance and compatibility in cloud environments
• ▹Own benchmarking frameworks (including tsbench), adding advanced features such as explain plans

Requirements

• ▹Proven experience as a Senior Release Engineer, QA Lead or similar role, owning the end-to-end release process
• ▹Deep expertise in modern CI/CD practices and tools, especially GitHub Actions
• ▹Strong Python skills for automation, tooling and infrastructure
• ▹Hands-on experience running PostgreSQL in production environments

Nice to have

• ▹Prior experience with TimescaleDB
• ▹Basic knowledge of Kubernetes
