Java & Networking Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, develop, and maintain reusable Java libraries, frameworks, and platform services
• ▹Improve service-to-service communication and networking capabilities
• ▹Contribute to Java platform modernization initiatives, including cloud-native and container-based solutions
• ▹Troubleshoot Java runtime, networking, and connectivity issues
• ▹Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security teams to integrate platform capabilities
• ▹Support application teams in adopting platform standards and best practices
• ▹Create reference implementations, sample applications, technical documentation, and developer guidance
• ▹Utilize AI-assisted and agentic coding tools for prototyping, code generation, testing, and documentation

Requirements

• ▹Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
• ▹Good understanding of JVM, multithreading, and distributed systems
• ▹Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/mTLS, load balancing, service discovery, connection management
• ▹Experience working with Linux
• ▹Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• ▹Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• ▹Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container technologies
• ▹Knowledge of cloud-native application architecture
• ▹Netty, gRPC, OpenAPI, or messaging technologies
• ▹JVM performance tuning
• ▹CI/CD, developer tooling, or scripting experience
• ▹Experience contributing to shared libraries, frameworks, or enterprise platform services
