Pricing Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop deep understanding of Marshmallow's quote, policy and claims data to derive pricing insights
• ▹Own a strategic pricing initiative (e.g. supporting expansion plans or protecting renewing customers)
• ▹Conduct claims analysis and modelling using SQL and Python
• ▹Conduct price optimisation analysis/modelling using Python
• ▹Build and deploy models in APIs for real-time pricing
• ▹Identify new external data sources to refine the claims risk view and quantify their value
• ▹Work directly with Engineering and MLENG to implement pricing proposals
• ▹Provide pricing support for new product launches

Requirements

• ▹Ability to interrogate data and conduct pricing analysis in SQL and Python/R
• ▹Ability to build GLMs, GBMs and other claims models in Python/R
• ▹At least 3 years of experience in a data-driven (ideally commercial) role
