Senior Advisory Fiber Specialist (Sunet)

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and maintain Sunet's fiber strategy
• ▹Conduct market and environment analysis
• ▹Act as a strategic resource in international contexts (e.g. Polar Connect), including long-distance connections and submarine cable matters
• ▹Act as an advisory technical expert in dialogue with suppliers, operators, and partners
• ▹Contribute to procurements with requirements and contract documentation
• ▹Support internally and externally on strategic fiber matters
• ▹Contribute to risk and vulnerability analysis, continuity planning, and documentation of critical infrastructure

Requirements

• ▹Technical education or equivalent qualification deemed relevant by the employer
• ▹Several years of current, documented experience working with national fiber infrastructure at an advanced level
• ▹Good knowledge of fiber laying and fiber documentation
• ▹Good knowledge of robustness, redundancy, and availability in critical infrastructure
• ▹Recent experience working with suppliers, operators, and external partners
• ▹Good knowledge of the fiber market and fiber network owners in Sweden
• ▹Good spoken and written Swedish and English

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with requirements for placement of equipment for critical infrastructure
• ▹Participation in procurements, technical requirements, and contract documentation
• ▹Experience with DWDM installation projects using RAMAN amplifiers
• ▹Knowledge of regulations and legislation on laying fiber cable in Sweden
• ▹Experience with submarine cable systems, landing points
