Junior Web Application Developer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications for internal and external users
• ▹Contributing to solution design, technical investigations, code review, refinement, and planning
• ▹Building solutions with Node.js, Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS
• ▹Working with Express as a BFF layer and data stores in SQLite, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
• ▹Developing integrations with internal systems, external services, and government-facing APIs
• ▹Collaborating closely with backend, platform, IAM, and microservices teams in a Git-based development environment
• ▹Using tools such as Docker, NPM, PM2, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and GitLab in daily work

Requirements

• ▹At least 1 year of experience in web application development
• ▹At least 1 year of experience with Node.js, Next.js/React, and NPM
• ▹Experience developing React.js-based applications
• ▹Experience with Git-based version control, including conventional commits and code review
• ▹Experience building web applications that integrate with external services via APIs
• ▹Experience with APIs following REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth2, or JWT standards
• ▹Experience meeting public-sector accessibility requirements (WCAG)
• ▹Familiarity with secure web development principles (e.g. OWASP)
• ▹Experience with AI-driven development, e.g. with Claude, and working in a Human-in-the-Loop manner

Nice to have

• ▹At least 3 years of experience in web application development
• ▹At least 2 years of experience with Node.js, Next.js/React, and NPM
• ▹At least 2 years of professional experience with Git
• ▹At least 5 years of experience with React.js
• ▹At least 2 years of experience with Yarn, Tailwind, Express, and Swagger
• ▹At least 2 years of experience with Docker and containerized application development
• ▹At least 2 years of experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite
• ▹At least 2 years of experience with TypeScript, Next.js in production, Linux, SSH, PM2
• ▹Experience with Jira and Confluence in agile teams
• ▹Experience with web application development in the public sector
• ▹At least 2 years of experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes
• ▹At least 1 year of experience in Java or .NET system development
