Requirements

• ▹At least 5 years of professional experience as a system developer
• ▹At least 2 years of web development experience with JavaScript and modern web technologies such as React and Node.js
• ▹Post-secondary education in system development or computer science, or equivalent competence recognized by SMHI
• ▹Work experience in Python, Java or C/C++, and in a Linux environment
• ▹Experience working in agile teams
• ▹Good Swedish and English, spoken and written

Nice to have

• ▹System architecture
• ▹CI/CD and work in automated IT environments
• ▹System design of stable, complex systems with high uptime requirements
• ▹Accessibility adaptations and WCAG
• ▹App and widget development
• ▹Experience as Scrum Master, team coach or similar
• ▹TypeScript
• ▹PostgreSQL

SMHI collects weather, water and climate-related data, which it analyzes and visualizes to provide a basis for decision-makers and citizens. Its IT Development unit has around 55 employees working in development teams responsible for the whole chain from idea to operations – for example the SMHI Väder mobile app, which has more than 2 million users.
