Project Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead Quality activities starting from early project engagement until Factory Witness Test (FWT) or Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
• ▹Work closely with Program and Project Management, Field Service Engineers, Product Engineering, Supplier Chain Management and Operations
• ▹Clearly distinguish facts, evidence, assumptions and conclusions
• ▹Communicate technical issues effectively to engineering, commercial and customer stakeholders
• ▹Promote disciplined, evidence-based quality decision making aligned to customer expectations
• ▹Ensure adherence to applicable customer, industry and Eaton standards
• ▹Lead a systematic, cross-functional Lessons Learned process and support implementation of identified actions
• ▹Lead Quality Plan development, integrating inputs from customer, suppliers and internal team members
• ▹Partner with Supplier Quality to ensure alignment with customer and Eaton standards; review supplier deliverables and compliance evidence; support audits/PPAP
• ▹Partner with Plant Manufacturing Quality; support/review audits, assessments, PPAP
• ▹Cooperate with Customer Quality for successful Factory Witness/Acceptance Test
• ▹Continuously pursue self-development and stay current on internal and external process updates

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline
• ▹5+ years of experience in quality, product engineering or manufacturing engineering for electromechanical or safety-critical electronic systems
• ▹Technical knowledge of LV/MV switchgear, transformers and UPS systems
• ▹Experience in project management
• ▹Direct experience supporting customer quality issues
• ▹Exposure to factory and site quality environments
• ▹Experience with FWT/FAT
