Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Planning, installing and operating LAN and WLAN infrastructures for data center environments and international customers
• ▹Implementing new site connections, coordinating network hardware relocations and carrying out infrastructure refreshes
• ▹Working across routing & switching, wireless, firewall and WAN domains, including 24/7 troubleshooting
• ▹Ensuring stable network operations and optimizing performance
• ▹Implementing network standards and enforcing security policies
• ▹Creating and maintaining technical documentation such as topologies, configurations, troubleshooting logs and network designs for different environments
• ▹Supporting business departments as a technical point of contact in 2nd/3rd level support

Requirements

• ▹Completed IT vocational training (e.g. IT systems integration specialist) or comparable degree
• ▹Several years of experience in LAN, WLAN and WAN
• ▹Knowledge of network security and security protocols
• ▹Knowledge of vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point, Aruba and Meraki
• ▹Experience with network management, monitoring or automation
• ▹Independent, structured and analytical way of working
• ▹Confident, fluent German and English

Nice to have

• ▹Cisco CCNA, CCNP or CWNP certification
• ▹Check Point Certified Security Admin certification
