We are looking for a senior network engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and operating complex LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructures for data center environments, including international client sites. In this role you will lead network projects, handle in-depth routing & switching and security tasks, and perform 3rd-level troubleshooting for complex incidents.

Responsibilities

▹Designing, implementing, and operating complex LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructures for data center environments, including international client sites.
▹Planning and leading network projects such as site connections, migrations, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure modernizations.
▹Working in depth on routing & switching, wireless, firewall, and WAN topics, and performing 3rd-level troubleshooting for complex incidents.
▹Developing scalable, highly available network architectures and optimizing performance, stability, and availability.
▹Implementing network and security standards as well as segmentation and security concepts.
▹Automating network processes and using monitoring and management tools for proactive analysis and optimization.
▹Creating technical documentation and network designs (HLD/LLD), and acting as the technical point of contact for internal teams and clients.

Requirements

▹Completed IT vocational training (e.g. Fachinformatiker for system integration) or studies in computer science / network technology.
▹At least 8 years of experience in enterprise networking (LAN, WLAN, WAN).
▹Excellent knowledge of routing & switching, network protocols, and enterprise network design.
▹Solid experience in network security (firewalls, VPN, segmentation, security protocols).
▹Experience with vendor equipment such as Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point, Aruba, or Meraki.
▹Experience with monitoring, network management, or automation (e.g. APIs, scripting).

Nice to have

▹CCNP, CCNA, CWNP, or Check Point Certified Security Administrator certification.
