Senior Automation and Test Tool Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and maintain BDD-based frameworks (e.g. Behave), ensuring modularity, reuse and scalability
• ▹Develop a shared library of reusable Gherkin step definitions to avoid code duplication across teams
• ▹Create libraries supporting test scenarios
• ▹Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or JFrog to run automated tests on PR creation, merges or scheduled releases
• ▹Oversee versioning of the test library to ensure compatibility between test suite and application versions
• ▹Mentor other engineers on framework and tool usage

Requirements

• ▹Degree and professional license in Systems Engineering, Software Development or related field
• ▹Proficiency in BDD and TDD
• ▹Experience extending Cucumber/Behave functionality
• ▹Specialized knowledge of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) integration, including real-time constraints and signal processing in automated scripts
• ▹Solid understanding of object-oriented principles
• ▹Experience managing Linux environments and shell scripting
• ▹Ability to optimize code and design clean architectural solutions
• ▹Advanced Git skills (interactive rebase, cherry-pick, hooks, submodules)
• ▹Experience with GitHub Enterprise (complex environments, OIDC secret management, custom actions)
• ▹Agile/Scrum methodology with ability to meet sprint goals
• ▹Familiarity with the "Three Amigos" approach
• ▹Hands-on experience with HiL test benches, operating lab equipment (power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes)
• ▹Experience with Jira, Jama, Test Rail and Gherkin for BDD
• ▹Advanced English (required)
