Financial Data Associate – Transformation & Onboarding

Responsibilities

• ▹Acquire a thorough understanding of the Total Plan Manager platform, focusing on Liquid Market and Private Capital transparency data, and how these products fit into clients' processes
• ▹Use AI-assisted tools (e.g. large language models, automated extraction and reconciliation platforms) to accelerate the capture, transformation, and quality review of positions and exposures data, validating outputs and escalating exceptions
• ▹Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to recurring data tasks, partnering with internal teams to pilot, refine, and scale these solutions
• ▹Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the asset management industry to deliver creative client solutions and best-practice guidance
• ▹Provide first-tier data support, addressing fund-level data inquiries via email and Microsoft Teams for key clients
• ▹Coordinate with internal teams to fulfill requests end to end, defining project plans, scope, and objectives
• ▹Develop documents, materials, and reporting templates to support each client's data requirements
• ▹Support the smooth execution of clients' transparency data requirements, including custom data needs
• ▹Bring together stakeholders across Data, Engineering, Product, and Consulting to close gaps in data delivery
• ▹Proactively examine data, processes, and technologies to evaluate current state and critical problems for clients

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a similar field is a plus but not required
• ▹2-4 years of experience in finance, accounting, investment, data, or operations
• ▹Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy when working with fund, portfolio, position, and exposure data
• ▹Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• ▹Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with emerging AI and agentic tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, Replit), including using them to prototype lightweight automations
• ▹Experience with process improvement or hands-on data manipulation (e.g. querying/scripting, no-code automation)
• ▹Portfolio analysis, performance measurement, or investment analytics expertise
• ▹Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• ▹Progress toward CFA, CAIA, CIPM, or FRM certification
• ▹Training, consulting, or client presentation experience
