IT Domain Architect – Sales

Schaeffler, an international technology group, is looking for someone to own the global IT architecture for its Sales domain. The role is responsible for harmonizing the system landscape, shaping the architecture roadmap and steering architecture decisions, in close collaboration with Enterprise and Solution architects.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global IT architecture for the Sales domain (target picture, principles, standards, reference architectures)
  • Define and enforce architectural guardrails for initiatives within the Sales domain
  • Derive an architecture roadmap from sales strategy and business priorities
  • Evolve the existing landscape by harmonizing and modernizing applications, integrations and data flows
  • Steer architecture decisions through reviews, committees and governance structures
  • Ensure quality standards in the architecture (e.g. security, stability, compliance)
  • Create transparency on the system landscape and support consolidation initiatives (e.g. with LeanIX)
  • Represent the Sales domain in cross-architecture alignment and work closely with Enterprise and Solution architects
  • Act as a sparring partner for business and IT on strategic questions and prioritization
  • Identify and reduce technical and architectural complexity
  • Track relevant technologies and trends and assess their value for the Sales domain

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in IT architecture (e.g. domain, solution or enterprise architecture)
  • Solid understanding of sales processes and related system landscapes (e.g. CRM, CPQ, pricing, customer interaction)
  • Experience delivering transformation initiatives (e.g. harmonization, modernization, international rollouts) in complex organizations
  • Good knowledge of common enterprise architecture approaches (e.g. TOGAF)
  • Experience with architecture tools such as LeanIX or comparable solutions
  • Ability to engage senior-level stakeholders and drive decisions forward
  • Structured, independent way of working with a clear sense of ownership
  • Confident presence in an international environment
