Senior QA Engineer at Antavo, a VC-backed loyalty management scale-up, ensuring the quality and reliability of its AI-powered loyalty platform. The role balances hands-on manual testing and test automation, helping shape QA and build AI-assisted testing capabilities in a remote-first, international team.
Responsibilities
- ▹Design and execute comprehensive test plans and granular test cases covering functional, technical and business requirements
- ▹Analyze requirements and specifications to identify logic gaps, risks and edge cases before development
- ▹Perform manual and automated testing flexibly: new feature validation, bug fixes and regression cycles
- ▹Write, run and maintain automated tests in the internal test automation framework
- ▹Design and support testing strategies for AI-powered features (prompt evaluation, output validation, regression detection, reliability checks)
- ▹Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted testing tools and workflows to improve coverage and efficiency
- ▹Take senior ownership of quality by driving QA improvements and sharing best practices
- ▹Synchronize with development sprints to stay aligned with technical progress and priorities
- ▹Act as a key collaborator between Product Owners and Developers to clarify acceptance criteria and resolve blockers
Requirements
- ▹5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with proven senior-level ownership of QA processes
- ▹Hands-on experience with both manual testing and test automation, applying the right approach per need
- ▹Experience with test automation tools and programming, preferably Playwright, Cypress or similar
- ▹Experience testing AI/ML-based features or strong motivation to build deep expertise in this area
- ▹Experience leveraging AI-powered tools for QA (test case generation, exploratory testing, test data creation, automation assistance)
- ▹Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI
- ▹Experience with API testing and tools such as Postman
- ▹Experience using Jira for defect tracking and project management
- ▹Proficiency with Confluence for documentation
- ▹Experience writing SQL and NoSQL queries
- ▹Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- ▹Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional product engineering environment
- ▹Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
- ▹Forward-thinking, curious mindset open to experimenting with new technologies
- ▹Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- ▹Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment
Nice to have
- ▹Demonstrated expertise testing Generative AI or LLM-based products (chatbots, RAG systems, autonomous agents)
- ▹Designing test methodologies for non-deterministic outputs (semantic similarity, regression detection in LLM responses, hallucination identification, prompt-injection vulnerability evaluation)
- ▹Building or contributing to AI-assisted QA workflows (automated test generation, intelligent test selection, self-healing tests, AI-supported exploratory testing)
- ▹Familiarity with LLM evaluation frameworks or observability tools such as LangSmith, Ragas or DeepEval
- ▹Performance, load or reliability testing for AI inference endpoints or data-heavy services
- ▹Professional background in fintech, loyalty, ecommerce or other regulated enterprise sectors
