Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• ▹Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities
• ▹Develop, test, and deploy predictive and statistical models
• ▹Build and maintain data models supporting business intelligence
• ▹Design ML solutions for churn prediction, fraud detection, forecasting, and segmentation
• ▹Prepare, clean, and transform structured and unstructured data
• ▹Conduct exploratory data analysis and communicate findings to stakeholders
• ▹Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and analytical solutions
• ▹Monitor, evaluate, and improve predictive model performance and accuracy
• ▹Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data-driven solutions
• ▹Work with Data Engineers to ensure data quality, accessibility, and governance
• ▹Document methodologies, assumptions, and analytical processes

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related quantitative field
• ▹3-5 years of experience as a Data Scientist in production environments
• ▹Proven experience developing and deploying ML and statistical models
• ▹Experience working with large datasets delivering measurable business value
• ▹Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
• ▹Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical modelling
• ▹Python for data analysis and machine learning
• ▹SQL and relational databases
• ▹Statistical modelling and predictive analytics
• ▹Data wrangling, cleansing, and feature engineering
• ▹Data visualisation and reporting
• ▹Supervised and unsupervised learning techniques
• ▹Model evaluation and performance optimisation

Nice to have

• ▹Postgraduate qualification in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, or AI
• ▹Relevant certifications in Data Science, Machine Learning, or cloud platforms
• ▹Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• ▹Exposure to Generative AI and RAG concepts
• ▹Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery or similar)
