App Services – Application Developer Engineer/Architect

Responsibilities

• ▹Maintain mainframe performance: monitor the architecture and identify opportunities to optimize code
• ▹Debug, troubleshoot and analyze complex system interactions to keep mission-critical applications running
• ▹Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services
• ▹Design, build and maintain the high-volume business logic that runs on the mainframe
• ▹Refactor legacy code so modern cloud and mobile applications can interact with the mainframe

Requirements

• ▹Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects
• ▹Excellent coding skills and solid development experience (Java, Python, .NET etc.) with debugging and problem-solving skills
• ▹Software development methodologies, with demonstrated experience developing scalable and robust software
• ▹Experience with Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions for enterprise application modernization, including AI-assisted code transformation, legacy system analysis, intelligent automation and integration of AI agents within cloud-native architectures and business processes
• ▹Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON and REST-based web services
• ▹Knowledge of architecture design: microservices architecture, containers (Docker & k8s), messaging queues
• ▹Deep understanding of OOP and design patterns

Nice to have

• ▹Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• ▹Certification in one or more hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, Google GCP); can also be obtained with Kyndryl
• ▹Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices
