Solution Architect – Data & AI

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Design end-to-end, cloud-native architectures for data management across the full lifecycle (ingestion, consolidation, exposition)
• ▹Design, develop and maintain cloud-native ETL/ELT pipelines
• ▹Design and develop API-driven and event-driven solutions, both inbound and outbound
• ▹Design, develop and manage ML/AI pipelines
• ▹Design and implement solutions based on agentic components
• ▹Optimize performance, cost and reliability of solutions starting from the design phase
• ▹Ensure data quality, security and governance across all solutions delivered
• ▹Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Science, BI, IT, Business), leading from a technical standpoint
• ▹Document technical solutions and actively contribute to knowledge sharing and building a technology culture

Requirements

• ▹Proven, long-standing experience with hyperscalers (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• ▹Proven experience with data pipeline, data management and analytics solutions (e.g. Databricks, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift)
• ▹Strong Python skills, both in OOP and data science contexts (numpy, pandas, polars)
• ▹Good knowledge of key Python frameworks (FastAPI, Pydantic) and agentic frameworks (PydanticAI, Google ADK, FastMCP)
• ▹Experience with modern data formats (e.g. Parquet, Apache Iceberg)
• ▹In-depth knowledge of cloud-native and/or open-source concepts and frameworks for data management
• ▹Excellent Git knowledge
• ▹Solid DevOps / DevSecOps skills
• ▹STEM / Computer Science degree
• ▹Typically 4-5 years of experience in Solution Architecture and/or Data Engineering
• ▹Excellent English, written and spoken

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with data governance and data catalog solutions (e.g. Databricks Unity Catalog, Open Metadata)
• ▹MLOps skills
• ▹Knowledge of the major AI and Generative AI frameworks of the hyperscalers (Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock, AI Foundry, Databricks Mosaic AI)
• ▹Knowledge of data streaming / event-driven architecture frameworks (e.g. Kafka, PubSub)
• ▹Batch and streaming data processing skills (e.g. Apache Beam)
• ▹Integration with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• ▹Certifications from major cloud providers or data technologies
• ▹Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g. Node.js, Go, C#)
