Manual Tester – OS&R

QA / Test Engineer • On-site • Full-time • 📍 Budapest

Digital Hub OS&R develops IT solutions for the planning, building, and operation of broadband network infrastructure. As a ROSÉ Software QA Engineer, you will ensure the quality and reliability of OSNR processes, from test design to defect management.

Stack

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive, well-structured test cases based on business and technical requirements
  • Prepare and execute regression test sets to evaluate system stability
  • Apply REST API testing methodologies and validate endpoints using tools like Calypso and Hoppscotch
  • Perform a diverse range of testing: manual, automated, integration, regression, and smoke testing
  • Log, review, and analyze test results to verify objectives are met
  • Report, track, and verify defects using tools such as JIRA and Xray
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure defects are properly resolved and prevented from recurring
  • Coordinate testing efforts with other teams for seamless end-to-end process validation
  • Communicate continuously with several teams inside and outside the Hub
  • Actively participate in improving testing workflows, procedures, and tools
  • Stay current with QA, automation, and industry trends (e.g. AI testing tools)

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of the software testing lifecycle, practices, and concepts (manual and automated testing)
  • Basic knowledge of REST API testing techniques and tools such as Calypso, Hoppscotch, or equivalents
  • Familiarity with XML, JSON validation, and transformation technologies
  • Databases and SQL knowledge
  • Knowledge of SDLC and STLC
  • Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA) and integration plugins like Xray
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Kanban and Scrum
  • Foundational understanding of telecommunication processes, including system integration and workflows (with a focus on OSNR processes)
