Backend Developer • On-site • Full-time • 📍 Zülpich

Lebenshilfe HPZ (a social services organization for people with disabilities and autism, with roughly 300 staff serving about 500 clients across 18 locations) is hiring an IT Administrator in Zülpich-Geich to manage its local IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage on-premises IT infrastructure with VMware-virtualized servers, 120 clients, and 300 users across 10 VPN sites
  • Install and configure local IT systems and hardware
  • Set up and administer virtualized environments (VM hosts, NAS, VLAN)
  • Create IT system concepts (hardware/software, networks, virtualized environments, databases, operating systems)
  • Advise and support users with IT issues (1st level)
  • Procure necessary IT components
  • Analyze and resolve system software and network faults
  • Develop, document, and implement IT security policies (in line with GDPR and ITIL)
  • Collaborate with external data protection officers and IT service providers
  • Set up and optimize Active Directory
  • Set up and operate a mail server

Requirements

  • Completed IT vocational training (e.g., IT systems integration specialist) or comparable qualification
  • Experience in IT administration and system support
  • Knowledge of IT security and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR)
  • Structured, solution-oriented working style
