IT Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• ▹Steer the secure and performant operation of the education portal
• ▹Install and test new releases; coordinate rollouts and changes
• ▹Define, introduce and monitor operational processes (incident, change, release management)
• ▹Work closely with the overall project lead (Product Owner) and pedagogical management, coordinate with external developers
• ▹Advance monitoring/observability (Icinga, Prometheus, Grafana) and optimize the on-prem system landscape

Requirements

• ▹Completed university degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
• ▹Several years of experience in platform/system operations, ideally with a focus on IDAM/SSO and web platforms
• ▹Deep technical understanding to effectively steer administration and step in hands-on when needed
• ▹Practical experience with IDAM/SSO (e.g. Shibboleth, OpenID Connect, SAML)
• ▹Experience designing operational processes (incident/change/release)
• ▹Monitoring/observability know-how (Icinga, Prometheus, Grafana)
• ▹Structured working style, clear communication, strong prioritization skills

Nice to have

• ▹English language skills are an advantage
