Responsibilities

• ▹Own and develop the target technical architecture of the Common Processing Platform
• ▹Define architecture principles, design guidelines and technical strategies for future platform generations
• ▹Ensure a balanced, optimized solution across mechanics, electronics, processor boards, networking, operating systems and application software
• ▹Lead technical feasibility studies and technology evaluations, for example in processor technologies, accelerators, operating systems and platform infrastructure
• ▹Ensure the platform is modular, scalable, robust and reusable across several product areas
• ▹Lead the architecture work from concept and design through integration and verification to product releases
• ▹Identify technical risks and create strategies to handle them early in the development process
• ▹Act as technical support and mentor for development teams and other architects
• ▹Contribute to product and technology roadmaps and long-term strategic planning
• ▹Represent the platform area in technical forums, architecture reviews and strategic decisions

Requirements

• ▹Master of Science in Engineering (civilingenjör) or equivalent technical education
• ▹At least 10 years of experience in complex systems development
• ▹Several years of experience as a system architect, principal engineer, lead engineer or similar technical leadership role
• ▹Documented experience with systems where hardware and software are tightly integrated
• ▹Deep understanding of Linux-based systems and platform development
• ▹Experience in system architecture, system integration and requirements management
• ▹Ability to build consensus and drive technical decisions in larger development organizations
• ▹Must pass security clearance under the applicable security protection rules; positions with a security classification may require certain citizenship
