Responsibilities

• ▹Lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to deliver significant business impact.
• ▹Set direction for critical technical surface areas, enabling the company to stay ahead of continued rapid growth.
• ▹Design, develop and own new product functionality and/or infrastructure leveraging modern frameworks and tooling (TypeScript, React, Node.js).
• ▹Build the core systems that power purchasing, trial and renewal experiences: seamless checkout flows, self-serve upgrade paths, intuitive renewal pages and integration with the evolving billing infrastructure.
• ▹Develop the platform that enables try-before-you-buy experiences across Vanta, which other product teams can plug into.
• ▹Contribute to building Vanta's engineering culture as the company grows.

Requirements

• ▹At least 5 years of industry experience.
• ▹Prior technical leadership roles for teams or complex projects.
• ▹Startup experience, or experience in an environment that prioritizes a bias for action.
• ▹Previous experience working on greenfield projects.
• ▹An interest in learning about security or prior experience in the space.
• ▹Openness to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work, demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly.
