Responsibilities

• ▹Ensure that applications and systems in your area work according to requirements and drive actions in management and development plans, including installing, upgrading, configuring and testing the systems
• ▹Handle incidents, troubleshoot and fix faults
• ▹Administer and, when needed, monitor the systems, for example to ensure performance requirements
• ▹Identify modernisations in network automation, monitoring and performance optimisation
• ▹Collaborate within your group, with other systems technicians, end users and suppliers to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• ▹Take part in procurements and make sure business requirements on the systems are met
• ▹Produce and maintain instructions, routines, system descriptions and other needed documentation
• ▹Maintain protection of the IT infrastructure and the information in it

Requirements

• ▹At least 5 years of experience and knowledge in design, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of network environments
• ▹Good familiarity with hardware and software related to network environments and experience handling switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers
• ▹Experience conceptualising, designing, developing and realising business-critical network infrastructure, and supporting IT architects and decision-makers
• ▹Used to working in project form and leading assignments in your area
• ▹Experience designing systems with requirements for high availability, redundancy and segment protection
• ▹Structured, with clear and pedagogical written communication
• ▹Fluent Swedish, spoken and written
• ▹Swedish citizenship (usually required) and security vetting

Nice to have

• ▹Deeper competence in Cisco technologies (Nexus, FTD, ACI, VPN, routing/switching)
• ▹Experience with Fortinet products such as firewalls, IDS, IPS, SD-WAN
• ▹Experience in network automation (Python, Ansible or API-based network control)
• ▹Good understanding of Linux environments and how the network stack interacts with underlying system layers
• ▹Experience with monitoring and traffic analysis
• ▹Experience in the public sector and with procurement and requirements specification
