Software Engineer - Analytics Platform

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and ship highly available, fault-tolerant services for ingesting, processing, storing, querying, and delivering analytics
• ▹Own the full data lifecycle, from streaming ingestion to structured and unstructured storage, search, and aggregation
• ▹Deploy, automate, and maintain large AWS deployments with reliability, performance, and efficiency in mind
• ▹Turn concepts into requirements, and requirements into tools and services, in partnership with product and data teams
• ▹Review code, mentor peers, share best practices, and help other teams solve platform pain points
• ▹Troubleshoot production incidents using AI-assisted workflows, from symptom to root cause

Requirements

• ▹4+ years of relevant industry experience building and operating scalable, production-grade software systems
• ▹Strong Java development experience, including hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot for distributed, cloud-native applications
• ▹Good understanding of cloud, ideally AWS, including deploying, operating, and troubleshooting cloud-based services
• ▹Experience designing, building, and operating highly available, scalable distributed systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and automation
• ▹Collaborative mindset across engineering, product, and data teams
• ▹Exposure to building and supporting data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
• ▹Experience with Apache Druid and/or Apache Flink
