Quality Assurance Engineer (Mobile Applications)

Responsibilities

• ▹Review core customer journeys in mobile banking and payments apps: onboarding, authentication, transfers, payments, card management, settings, alerts, notifications
• ▹Evaluate usability, interface clarity, content quality, navigation and design consistency from an end-user perspective
• ▹Test new features and updates across production and pre-release builds on iOS and Android
• ▹Validate push notifications, SMS, emails and in-app messages for accuracy, timing, tone and clarity
• ▹Test error handling and negative scenarios such as wrong PIN, exceeded limits, declined transactions and connectivity loss
• ▹Review localised content for translation accuracy, terminology consistency, truncation and formatting
• ▹Capture screenshots and screen recordings to evidence defects
• ▹Write clear defect reports with reproduction steps, expected versus actual behaviour and severity
• ▹Re-test and validate fixes after releases
• ▹Maintain and execute test cases and checklists for regression, release validation and exploratory testing
• ▹Give structured feedback to product, design and engineering teams and flag customer experience risks early

Requirements

• ▹3+ years in manual software testing, with substantial mobile application testing experience
• ▹Exploratory testing, test case design and execution, regression, negative and edge-case testing
• ▹Testing across iOS and Android devices, OS versions and screen sizes
• ▹Exceptional attention to detail in spotting interface, content and translation errors
• ▹Strong written communication and documentation skills
• ▹Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira, Xray, TestRail, Zephyr or equivalent)
• ▹Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team
• ▹Professional working proficiency in English, written and spoken
