Cloud Engineer – AWS

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, develop and optimize the cloud platform with a focus on AWS, ensuring secure, scalable and efficient operations
• ▹Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code environments (e.g. Terraform) and automate workflows with custom scripts (Python, Go, Bash) and AWS-native services
• ▹Design, operate and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions) for applications and infrastructure components
• ▹Build self-service solutions that let development teams provision and use cloud resources independently and securely, supporting them operationally when needed
• ▹Design and enhance monitoring, logging, alerting and observability solutions
• ▹Identify improvement opportunities and contribute ideas using new technologies

Requirements

• ▹Experience building, operating and automating cloud infrastructures, ideally on AWS
• ▹Understanding and application of core principles of modern cloud architectures
• ▹Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, especially Terraform
• ▹Experience in automation and scripting (e.g. Python, Go or Bash)
• ▹Familiarity with CI/CD principles and deployment automation (e.g. GitHub Actions or comparable)
• ▹Solid understanding of cloud security concepts (e.g. IAM, networking, least privilege)
• ▹Understanding of the fundamentals of monitoring, logging, alerting and observability
• ▹Current primary residence in Germany
• ▹Independent work, ownership and clear, constructive communication across teams

Nice to have

• ▹Experience working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban)
