Cloud Engineer – AWS

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and optimise the AWS-centred cloud platform
• ▹Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code environments (e.g. Terraform) and automate workflows with custom scripts (Python, Go, Bash) and AWS-native services
• ▹Design, run and improve CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions)
• ▹Build self-service solutions so development teams can use cloud resources independently and securely
• ▹Design monitoring, logging, alerting and observability solutions
• ▹Spot improvement opportunities and contribute your own ideas to the platform

Requirements

• ▹Experience building, operating and automating cloud infrastructure, ideally on AWS
• ▹Understanding of modern cloud architecture principles
• ▹Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools, especially Terraform
• ▹Automation and scripting experience (e.g. Python, Go or Bash)
• ▹Knowledge of CI/CD principles and deployment automation (e.g. GitHub Actions or similar)
• ▹Basic understanding of cloud security concepts (e.g. IAM, networking, least privilege)
• ▹Understanding of monitoring, logging, alerting and observability basics
• ▹Existing main residence in Germany

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban)
