QA Engineer (Manual-Automation) – Mid-Senior, VPN Nord Payments team

Responsibilities

• ▹Write manual and automated tests for complex functional and integration testing to confirm acceptance criteria are met
• ▹Perform functional testing in web and desktop applications and back-end systems
• ▹Support, maintain and improve test documentation
• ▹Report software defects and collaborate across development teams to resolve them
• ▹Work closely with product managers, developers and other QA team members
• ▹Apply Agile principles in day-to-day activities
• ▹Advocate for product quality within a cross-functional development team
• ▹Contribute to feature testing strategies and take part in QA Guild discussions
• ▹Help make the release process as smooth as possible while maintaining quality
• ▹Share knowledge and support best testing practices
• ▹Bring your own ideas and initiatives
• ▹Ensure the product meets high quality standards for deployment

Requirements

• ▹Proven experience in quality assurance, with a stronger focus on backend and API testing
• ▹Proficiency with API testing tools (Postman or similar)
• ▹Experience testing APIs, primarily REST
• ▹Strong experience in test case design, creating feature test plans and managing test execution
• ▹Experience performing regression, functional, smoke and ad-hoc testing
• ▹Experience with test automation
• ▹Experience with GitLab and GitLab CI
• ▹Familiarity with management tools such as Jira and Confluence
• ▹Understanding of complex technical systems, e.g. microservice-based architecture
• ▹Experience with Agile/Kanban (or similar) methodologies and working in software development teams
• ▹Good verbal and written communication skills
