Junior Data Acquisition Specialist – Dark Web Monitoring

Responsibilities

• ▹Work with data extraction, manipulation and analysis using the Linux command line and other tools
• ▹Analyze and research data breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
• ▹Review the data the team collects, identify what is useful, and prepare and validate datasets that cannot be ingested automatically
• ▹Organize and maintain an archive of collected databases, recorded accurately and easy to access
• ▹Acquire stolen datasets from a range of sources
• ▹Help automate data ingestion processes

Requirements

• ▹Fluency in Lithuanian and English
• ▹Familiarity with basic data mining techniques
• ▹A genuine interest in cybersecurity and the cybercriminal underground
• ▹Detail-oriented and reliable when working with data
• ▹Analytical thinking and a problem-solving mindset
• ▹Ambition to learn and grow as a data acquisition professional and to pick up new tools quickly

Nice to have

• ▹Comfort working in a Unix environment and using basic Linux shell tools
• ▹Experience working with large or messy datasets
• ▹Any coding or scripting experience (e.g. Python)
• ▹Familiarity with handling different data and file formats
