Freelance Spanish Data Annotation Specialist (100% Remote within Europe)

Responsibilities

• ▹Prepare and maintain medically oriented datasets for machine learning with consistent, high-quality annotation
• ▹Follow annotation and labeling conventions and give feedback on them
• ▹Transcribe Spanish audio: align audio with text and correct the text based on the audio
• ▹Implement text patterns to detect and extract Spanish named entities such as names, addresses, organizations, ID numbers and medical terms
• ▹Contribute to Spanish dictionaries and taxonomies for NLP systems
• ▹Evaluate the correctness and accuracy of Spanish words, sentences and text structures
• ▹Deliver work on deadline and communicate proactively about progress and challenges

Requirements

• ▹Native Spanish and full professional level of English
• ▹A degree or strong background in linguistics, computational linguistics or a related field
• ▹Familiarity with Spanish medical terminology or prior experience in healthcare
• ▹Hands-on experience with data annotation, transcription and labeling tools
• ▹Proficiency working with text patterns and dictionaries for NLP
• ▹Exceptional attention to detail in assessing and improving data quality
• ▹Ability to work independently, manage time and meet deadlines

Nice to have

• ▹Previous experience in AI, machine learning or data preparation projects
• ▹Knowledge of languages or dialects beyond Spanish and English
• ▹Exposure to medical coding systems (e.g. ICD, CPT) or electronic health records (EHR)
• ▹Freelance experience on similar annotation or linguistic projects
