You will own solution design and implementation for Hightouch's Identity Resolution (IDR) product, working directly with enterprise customers. The role blends data analytics and data engineering, with a lot of SQL and debugging.
Responsibilities
- ▹Work backwards from customer use cases with an architect to design IDR rules and a data model
- ▹Assess the customer's data landscape and readiness for IDR during pre-sales
- ▹Understand the rules of existing solutions (e.g. Reltio, Amperity, Segment, MDM tools), flag gaps and create workarounds
- ▹Debug identity issues end to end (missing datapoints, over-merging), mostly by writing SQL against customer warehouses and reading server logs
- ▹Explain to customers how warehouse-native identity resolution works, how it processes data incrementally and how to use its outcome tables
- ▹Flag and advocate for fixes to recurring product gaps (e.g. no retroactive data removal, insufficient observability into profile changes, no way to reset incremental processing watermarks)
- ▹Work with Sales Engineering on pre-sales deals and with Customer Support Engineering and Technical Account Management on post-sales implementations
- ▹Work with coding agents by default: SQL, schema exploration and internal tooling are built with agents, and you help grow the repository of skills and best practices
Requirements
- ▹You direct agents rather than just prompt them: you point them at warehouses with undocumented tables and are the last judgment before their output ships
- ▹SQL fluency: you can read generated SQL and find the wrong join
- ▹Fluent in Snowflake, Databricks or BigQuery, thinking unprompted about query performance and warehouse cost
- ▹Systems thinking: reason about how identity graphs behave at scale, understand architecture trade-offs and anticipate downstream consequences
- ▹Consultative communication: run a discovery call, uncover requirements and explain technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- ▹Systematic debugging mindset: form hypotheses, test them and document findings
- ▹2-4 years in an analytics engineering, solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering or implementation role, ideally at a data infrastructure, CDP or B2B SaaS company
Nice to have
- ▹Experience with identity resolution, MDM or CDP products (Segment, Amperity, Reltio, LiveRamp)
- ▹Familiarity with graph data structures and entity resolution algorithms
- ▹Experience with probabilistic matching or ML-based identity systems
- ▹Background in data engineering or analytics engineering
- ▹Comfort with customer-facing presentations and on-site meetings

What we offer
- ▹Salary range of USD 150,000-225,000 per year, location independent under the remote-first policy
- ▹Meaningful equity
