Senior Java Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and evolve modern backend applications based on Java and Spring / Spring Boot
• ▹Design, implement and integrate REST interfaces
• ▹Implement complex domain requirements in the statutory health insurance sector
• ▹Build performant and maintainable software with quality and security requirements in mind
• ▹Work with SQL and DB2 to process and manage domain data
• ▹Analyze, optimize and further develop existing applications and components
• ▹Write automated tests and ensure software quality
• ▹Coordinate technically with business departments, development teams and other project stakeholders
• ▹Create and maintain technical documentation

Requirements

• ▹Several years of experience in Java backend development and very good knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot
• ▹Hands-on project experience with BITMARCK 21c ng
• ▹Experience in the statutory health insurance (GKV) field, ideally with LRB, ELW or EEL
• ▹Sound knowledge of REST web services, SQL and DB2
• ▹Practice in developing secure and reliable software and handling sensitive patient data
• ▹Very good German, written and spoken (C2 level)

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with microservices and container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
• ▹Knowledge of Kafka, Liquibase and modern testing frameworks
• ▹Experience with FHIR or other healthcare standards
• ▹Experience with agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban
