Senior Java Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and evolve modern backend applications based on Java and Spring / Spring Boot
• ▹Design, implement and integrate REST interfaces
• ▹Implement complex domain requirements in the statutory health insurance sector
• ▹Develop performant and maintainable software solutions with quality and security requirements in mind
• ▹Work with SQL and DB2 to process and manage domain data
• ▹Analyse, optimise and further develop existing applications and components
• ▹Write automated tests and ensure software quality
• ▹Coordinate technically with business departments, development teams and other project participants
• ▹Create and maintain technical documentation

Requirements

• ▹Several years of backend development experience with Java and Spring / Spring Boot
• ▹Sound knowledge of developing and integrating REST web services and relational databases
• ▹Experience in the statutory health insurance (GKV) sector
• ▹Understanding of software quality, IT security and clean code principles
• ▹Analytical and structured way of working and strong problem-solving skills
• ▹Very good German, written and spoken (C2 level)

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
• ▹Knowledge of Kafka, Liquibase and modern testing frameworks
• ▹Experience with healthcare standards such as FHIR
• ▹Knowledge of agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban)
