Senior Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• ▹Perform ad hoc analysis to identify trends and root causes across 8am's product ecosystem
• ▹Work with Data Engineering to automate data transformations based on findings
• ▹Work cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Partnerships and Product to turn data into insights
• ▹Manage all steps of the data lifecycle (collection, measurement, analysis, interpretation, presentation) with qualitative and quantitative analysis
• ▹Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, supported by rigorous analysis and statistics
• ▹Build rich, interactive visualizations that help stakeholders understand their area of the business
• ▹Communicate insights through written summaries, presentations and data storytelling for technical and non-technical audiences
• ▹Analyze historical data, define best practices and identify optimization opportunities
• ▹Gather data from internal and external sources
• ▹Explore the data to discover patterns, relationships, anomalies and trends
• ▹Handle multiple projects and meet deliverables

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree, preferably in a quantitative field (Statistics, Business, Computer Science, Engineering), or equivalent experience
• ▹Advanced data transformations in SQL and Excel
• ▹Experience transforming, analyzing and visualizing data in Python
• ▹Experience using GenAI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to create interactive data tools
• ▹Experience with a BI or visualization tool (e.g. Tableau, Sigma)
• ▹Experience with modern data stacks, including cloud data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift)
• ▹Prior exposure to experimentation, cohort analysis or product usage analytics
• ▹4+ years of experience in banking, payment processing or other finance technology
• ▹2+ years of experience in B2B SaaS or other subscription-based businesses
• ▹Ability to independently scope ambiguous problems, structure analyses and deliver actionable recommendations
• ▹Strong written and verbal communication, presenting data and its implications clearly and concisely
• ▹Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve workflows and decision-making
