Responsibilities

• ▹Leading and developing a Data Engineering team; coordinating projects with data scientists, engineers and product owners
• ▹Building and operating scalable Databricks pipelines using Python, Declarative Pipelines and Jobs/Workflows
• ▹Using Azure Data Factory for ingestion/orchestration and integrating SQL/NoSQL databases
• ▹Introducing standards, reusable templates and documentation for group-wide solutions
• ▹Ensuring quality through versioning, testing, monitoring, SLAs/SLOs and automated deployments
• ▹Managing the cost and performance of production pipelines

Requirements

• ▹A degree in computer science, software engineering, data engineering/data science, or equivalent practical experience
• ▹Solid data engineering experience appropriate to the role, ideally including leadership experience
• ▹Very good knowledge of Databricks (Python, Spark SQL, Lakehouse), Declarative Pipelines, Jobs/Workflows
• ▹Experience with Azure Data Factory, data integration/orchestration, data modeling and performance tuning
• ▹A DataOps mindset: versioning, testing, automated deployments, clean release processes
• ▹Strong leadership and communication skills, independent, solution-oriented
• ▹Solid English skills; German is an advantage
