Responsibilities

• ▹Collaborating with data scientists, analysts and product owners to build maintainable data pipelines and data products
• ▹Building and operating Databricks pipelines using Python, Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines and Jobs/Workflows
• ▹Using Azure Data Factory for ingestion/orchestration; integrating and optimizing SQL/NoSQL databases
• ▹Ensuring quality through versioning, testing, monitoring, SLAs/SLOs and automated deployments
• ▹Managing the cost and performance of production pipelines
• ▹Contributing to the establishment of standards, reusable templates and documentation

Requirements

• ▹A degree in computer science, software engineering, data engineering/data science, or equivalent practical experience
• ▹Very good knowledge of Databricks (Python, Spark SQL, Lakehouse), Declarative Pipelines and Jobs/Workflows
• ▹Experience with Azure Data Factory, data modeling, performance tuning and production systems
• ▹A DataOps mindset: versioning, testing, automated deployments, clean release processes
• ▹Strong communication and teamwork skills; independent, solution-oriented
• ▹Flawless English; German is an advantage
