Senior Software Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Work together with the software development team to enhance and improve the software applications
• ▹Create test cases from requirements and previously identified issues or bugs
• ▹Analyze and document bugs and errors found during testing
• ▹Report test results to the software development team
• ▹Analyze and test software security
• ▹Provide tests and methods to ensure high data quality
• ▹Perform manual and automated testing: integration, regression, black-box, customer acceptance, UI and security testing
• ▹Discuss with the development team when requirements still need development rework
• ▹Perform routine inspections and quality tests (automated and exploratory)
• ▹Report bugs by creating Jira tickets following a default template (steps to reproduce, environment, logs, expected/actual result)

Requirements

• ▹Good understanding of REST-API functionality, implementation and adaptability
• ▹Experience writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• ▹Previous experience with API testing tools (e.g. Postman)
• ▹Previous experience with automated test web frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jenkins, JMeter)
• ▹Previous experience with debugging tools (e.g. Jest, Mocha, Vue/Chrome/FF Dev Tools)
• ▹Scripting language skills in JavaScript, Python or others

Nice to have

• ▹Previous experience with IT application versioning
• ▹Any testing certification (e.g. ISEB/ISTQB, Foundation level upwards)
• ▹Previous experience with the Atlassian toolchain (Jira, Confluence)
• ▹Previous experience with agile development, including Scrum and Kanban
• ▹Previous experience with AI agents
