QA Engineer - Backend API Testing

Responsibilities

• ▹Understand client needs and establish the relevant test strategy to ensure the product fits
• ▹Be part of a developer team in an Agile cycle, testing new features and ensuring product quality
• ▹Analyse test results and coordinate with development teams for bug fixes
• ▹Organize and plan integration tests between different components and services
• ▹Identify and implement automated tests with development teams in the Agile cycle
• ▹Identify and implement automated tests in the QA validation phase
• ▹Identify and set up automation frameworks for new types of tests
• ▹Create and lead comprehensive test campaigns on the product
• ▹Communicate with different teams (Developers, Data Scientists, Product Owners, Project Managers)
• ▹Drive and help establish best practices and testing processes, promoting a "test culture" inside the company

Requirements

• ▹Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• ▹About 3-4 years of experience in QA and test automation
• ▹ISTQB foundation certified
• ▹Experience with at least one of: backend tests, API tests, performance tests, stress tests, automation
• ▹Excellent communication and working proficiency in English and French

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with micro-services testing
• ▹Programming experience (e.g. Web UI, API, data pipelines) in any language
• ▹Familiarity with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design and execution, test case management tools
