Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Set the overarching technical direction and standards across three engineering squads
• ▹Bridge the gap between Engineering, Data Science and Infrastructure/Security
• ▹Lead the design, implementation and optimization of the internal and external API management framework (catalogue, gateway, etc.)
• ▹Ensure Azure-based services are scalable, reliable and offer a high-quality developer experience
• ▹Oversee the creation of services that are easy to build, thoroughly tested, confidently deployed and fully observable
• ▹Implement robust API and event-driven designs to support future product scaling and power new agentic AI tools
• ▹Define and implement a framework for developing, configuring and maintaining AI agents and chatbots
• ▹Design AI systems that balance development speed, architectural flexibility and component reusability
• ▹Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration: expose MCP for the company's services and have agents call third-party MCPs
• ▹Establish standards for security and budget management (token usage and compute costs) to keep AI initiatives sustainable and secure
• ▹Align agentic capabilities with core product goals
• ▹Build a scalable foundation for the long-term AI roadmap, moving from experimental bots to maintainable agentic ecosystems

Requirements

• ▹Azure: deep expertise in Azure services (AKS, App Service, Functions, Azure SQL/Cosmos DB)
• ▹Strong C#/.NET or Python background
• ▹Proficiency with Docker/Podman and Kubernetes
• ▹Proven ability to design clean, documented (OpenAPI) and versioned RESTful APIs based on business needs
• ▹Solid expertise in API gateways
• ▹At least a first solid experience with LLMs, embeddings, agentic AI frameworks or agentic coding
• ▹IaC: hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates
• ▹Deep understanding of the Azure Well-Architected Framework pillars
• ▹Ability to explain complex architecture clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• ▹Proven influencing skills and business acumen to build consensus at all levels of the organization
• ▹Desire to upskill team members through code reviews and design sessions
• ▹Proactive nature
• ▹Passion for the field and staying up to date on new technologies and best practices

Nice to have

• ▹Good knowledge of Aspire
• ▹Expertise with the MCP protocol and multi-agent design patterns
• ▹Experience with Azure Service Bus, Event Hub or Kafka
